Ho Ho Ho … A Vintage Christmas Tablescape

This week I’ve been in a Vintage Christmas mood, and today we’re going with the fun, kitschy side of vintage Christmas.  My inspiration came from these little flocked Santas.  You either love ’em … or not!  (Little Man’s Mommy thinks they’re “creepy.”  Personally, I think they’re fun, and I’ve played with them for years, but I’ve decided that this is the year to start cleaning out a few things. This post will serve as my “scrapbook” for memory’s sake…

This tablescape was the perfect time to pull out “all things vintage” …

Dishes …

and linens …

… including this handmade tablecloth.

It’s very large!  Think of the work that went into making it!

Vintage ornaments in a vintage sleigh …

Vintage napkin rings …

Vintage glasses …

Even vintage Christmas books and magazines, too …

And vintage Christmas cards …

Of course I had to add this vintage angel candleholder and another sleigh … since I had them.

And these cute little candle huggers.

I really did have a jolly ol’ time putting this table together for you this week …

Since this is a “scrapbook” post, I tucked in this vintage picture, too.  Yes, Little Sister. I’m afraid we’re now “vintage!”

And since I included that picture (for you, Mom!), I reeally couldn’t resist including this favorite Christmas picture of my own once-little girls.  (Since I’m scrapbooking…)

I never get tired of seeing the traditional colors of red and green at Christmas!  Do you?

I hope you’re having fun during this holiday season.  I also hope you’re remembering why we celebrate …

From my personal collection:
Vintage Santa tea cloth (auction box find)
Shiny red chargers (Dollar Tree this year)

  9. This is fantastic, and I feel as if I have just strolled down memory lane. It made me nostalgic for Christmases of long, long ago. There is something about this table that reminded me of my favorite aunt. Sighing…

I’m late getting around. Stinking computer issues yet again coupled with Christmas busyness. It’s a dastardly duo, but I’m trying not to let it steal my JOY.

  10. So cute! Especially love that net cover.

  13. SUPER neat post!!! It’s always fun to see vintage items that remind us of our childhood. I am sure that if I went through all the stuff at my Mom’s house that I would find some great pieces. I don’t think she threw away much of that. Really like the dishes!!!!!

  14. I love it all, and no, I never get tired of the red and green, except if you give me red and aqua. 😉 No, but seriously, nothing like the traditional colors. Gorgeous tablecloth, by the way.
I’m catching up on all the beauty I’ve missed around here lately and I’m having loads of fun.
