Snow Angels

We’re changing with the seasons at My Place to Yours … and it only took a few quick changes to turn THIS Autumn tablescape into today’s Winter tablescape. I gave you a sneak peek of the changes HERE a few days ago.

These whimsical Snow Angel Village salad/dessert plates by Debbie Mumm were the inspiration for today’s Winter tablescape.

I used the same basic place setting that I used in the Autumn tablescape.

Brown placemat (turned sideways) that I dyed HERE … clear ribbed glass charger … clear ribbed goblet I found years ago at Dollar General …

Mikasa Italian Countryside plates and flatware … vintage napkin with ribbed silver napkin ring
Then I added the Debbie Mumm plates … and a second napkin ring for color and texture.  (Ssssh … it’s a hair scrunchy that I found at Dollar General — 2 for $1!)
Mix up the candle colors … Add a little snow, holly, and Winter ornaments …
And voila!  It’s a different tablescape!
Just as pretty by candlelight — no matter what the season!
I’m linking this tablescape to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch. Follow me over there to see more great tablescapes.

I’m so glad you stopped by today. Thank you — and please come again!

  1. I love those plates with the snowmen! I think it’s the blue in them that makes them so different. I love how you picked up on it and pulled it out for the table accent.

    That’s the best part.
But it’s all really pretty. I just love that Italian Countryside. It makes every table look elegant.

And you found GREAT stuff at DG.

    Lovely!

  6. Hello Susan,
you have set a great table. As I see you own a lot of super good basics for tablescape and it is easy to add some seasonal highlights to create a wonderful table. Love those salad plates with the cute angels. And the photos are so beautiful, especially the last one with th light stars. Heavenly!
    Greetings, Johanna

  7. What a fun changeover from fall to Christmas! I love all the ribbed elements, as well as the touch of blue to accent the plates. My Christmas china also includes blue, but I haven’t had time to set a table to show it yet!

  8. So much fun to see your change from autumn to winter. I remember those blue plates! I just love the glass charger. So versatile! I like the decoration you added to the base of your tureen. Such a lovely table!

  12. Repeating the ribbed element was very effective..I thought that it mixed really well with the geometric checked rim in the Debbie Mumm plates. Great choice! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
