Snowman Finale

Welcome to My Place to Yours this week after Christmas! I hope you’ve had wonderful times with family and friends during all of your holiday festivities!

Today I’m sharing with you a brief glimpse at two tablescapes I did while my family was together last week. They are my Christmas Finale — although I would never call them a “grand” finale. They’re very simple “real” tablescapes … the kind I do more often than not. (Sorry if that disappoints you!)

One evening I used this Debbie Mumm set with a favorite damask tablecloth …

The centerpiece was a round silver tray with a berry wreath laid on top … and a peppermint candle floated in a textured glass candleholder in the center.  I added single smaller peppermint floater candles to votive holders at each end of the table. A candy cane tucked into the tasseled napkin ring and textured-stemmed goblets from Dollar Tree tie it all together. Super easy!

The next morning, I used placemats — the reverse side of the ones I used HERE. They’re a little crowded on the table, but you can tell from the only two pieces of flatware that it’s a casual meal … and we’re a close family!

I used the same silver tray and berry wreath from the night before, but this time I turned the candleholder upside down and used it to elevate a spunky snowman — a gift this year from a special friend. Then I used the snowman plates I found years ago at Dollar General. (I use them after Christmas, too, since they’re so Wintery!) Vintage glasses and a textured hair scrunchy for a napkin ring, and we’re done!

That’s it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope each of you has a safe and happy New Year celebration. I look forward to our visits in 2011!

  7. You got that stemware at the Dollar Tree store??!?!?!! I am going to HAVE to visit that place! I see people talking about it, but I just need to find one here in the Lee’s Summit (MO) area.
