After a much warmer than usual December here in East Tennessee, I decided I’d try to speed Winter along by adding a few icy touches in the dining room. I’m not a big fan of Winter (except for its beauty!), but if it will just come, we can move on to Spring sooner!
I decided to keep this Winter Magic wreath. It was so much fun to make, and since it’s “all about Winter”, it’s now found a new home.
Its colors inspired today’s tablescape…
I just made a few simple changes to THIS centerpiece and moved on to the next season.
A little faux snow sprinkled around adds a nice touch of Winter elegance to an otherwise casual tablescape.
I wish you were here to join me! The weather’s finally beginning to turn cool…
A back story question…
Here’s a close-up of the beautiful old mercury glass ornament in my first photo. It’s obviously a “blown” ornament; you can tell from its slightly lopsided appearance. Also notice the round metal ring and cap. Have any of you ever seen an ornament like this? There are no markings—but lots of intrigue! I’d sure love to know more…
I’ll be linking to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.
it’s all so pretty!
Lovely! It really does evoke a wintry feel…simply divine!
Very pretty, Susan, Blue is one of my favorite colors and so lovely paired with red. xo ~ Nancy
