You know how sometimes a word or song seems to be everywhere you turn? Magazines, books, tv, radio . . . there it is — again.
For the past little while, I’ve been watching damage done by someone’s lack of humility. This verse keeps showing up. I could easily be tempted to read its words as a promise that “they’ll get theirs” one day.
. . . but I’d better read it (with gratitude!) as a reminder to closely watch myself. To approach relationships and situations with humility and gentleness and self-control.
Just in case you need this reminder today, too . . . you’re welcome.
Thank you. This is a good post.
I hope you have a great week, Susan.
I often get one of the anthems we are working on in choir or just a phrase from one stuck in my brain. This week it is “Draw the circle wide.”
I don’t know that one, Patricia, but I like the idea!
Yes, I try to pay attention when I get duplicates of the same message again and again. Usually it takes about 3 times for me to notice. ha. “Linger” has been haunting me lately; I’m thinking God may want me to use “linger” as my one word for 2020. 🙂
Third time’s a charm. 😉 “Linger” is an interesting word to contemplate… I haven’t chosen a word for the year in awhile; perhaps 2020.
Catch me up the grandbaby news I missed when you get a chance!
