START
After much discussion and prayer, the plan emerged:
Downsize our life — to upsize our faith
(I blogged about that plan. Click the words above to read it.)
- Put our old house on the market
- Declutter
- Move into a rent house
- Design our house
- Confirm a builder
- Build a farmhouse at the farm
Last December — two-and-a-half years after putting it on the market — our house finally sold. I wrote my goodbye letter. But there were no rentals available, so we went to Plan B and purchased a used fifth wheel and moved it to the farm. Let the Adventure begin.
Same gorgeous views and sunsets!
The house design was completed (although with much more difficulty than we’d anticipated.)
We’re now waiting on numbers from Builder #3 — and have been for awhile.
We’re beginning to wonder if building our Finally Farmhouse at the farm is ever going to happen — or if there’s a Plan C that is better for us.
It’s been a year of waiting — several really — and the planner in me is learning to be still. I am confident we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be right this minute . . . but maybe not forever. Time will tell.
I do know one thing: If plans need to change, I want to change with them.
Pray first — plan second. And stay flexible.
It’s the only way to plan!
