Does Your Husband Tablescape?

Can you believe it?  After weeks of very little tablescaping, the mood struck this morning, and I prepared a sweet little table to share with you.  It’ll have to wait …

Instead, while I was doing some work for my sweetheart, he fired up the smoker and surprised Yours Truly with smoked chicken, fresh corn, heirloom tomatoes, and crowder peas from the garden.  And freshly-brewed iced tea … in a crystal pitcher.  And flowers.  He surprised me with those, too.

No wonder I call him Renaissance Man! How did I ever get so lucky?

Seriously … the man can cook!

Apparently he tablescapes, too …

It’s amazing what happens when the weather starts to turn cooler!  Thanks, Babe!

I know I’m not the only lucky lady out there.  Who else has a cooking … or gardening … or tablescaping spouse?

  4. Wow, and he tablescapes, too? My husband is the cook for every meal and even brings our lunch to campus every weekday, so I am a lucky woman. I enjoy baking, but he has done our everyday cooking since I was pregnant with our first (yikes, 35 years ago!) and napping in the late afternoons. He’s good at supplying flowers, but I can’t see mine doing a tablescape!

  5. What a wonderful job your husband has done! He’s definitely a keeper! Mine is good at gardening, and he really isn’t bad at cooking. He just prefers that I do most of it.:-)

  6. Oh, my goodness! What time is dinner? That platter of food looks so delicious! You are a lucky lady, but them he’s a lucky guy!

  7. That food looks delicious!! I have a daughter and grandchildren who all tablescape, but the hubby has not done one, yet – might have to work on that one – lol!! Anyway, you are a lucky girl and I will be looking forward to more from him in the future!

  8. Hi Susan, your husband’s tablescape is lovely and looks ready to enjoy the table for two! BTW, I’ve been on Word Press since my first blog post thanks to my son, who set it up….love it. We might be neighbors without knowing it.
