I learned this week that Dayle at A Collection of This and That is ending her wonderful Simple Pleasures series … just as I was thinking how much I’d love to join the party! Even though I’ve never participated, I’ve often enjoyed reading about the simple pleasures that she — and some of you — have found … and it’s caused me to open my own eyes and look around my own world a little more closely. I’d say Dayle’s mission was successful.
Unless you are as relaxed as Little Man, I dare say that some (most?) days you’re so busy that you have to make a conscious choice to de-stress. Am I right?
How do you do that?
Do you take a long soak at the end of the day?
Pick the green one … It’s great for stress relief!
I am totally a bath person – bath with candles lit if I am really stressed and if really, really, bath, candles plus a chocolate!
Loved the Walmart to Neimans sign. Nice to visit you from MM. You were the post right after mine. My sister is right before and I have already visited her so I will visit someone else. Come visit and join my giveaway for a Williams Sonoma Hammered copper pot.
Beautiful post! I’m a outdoor person and long…long drives with my DH and children make me super happy. Thanks for sharing.
Hope to see you on my blog:)
Your collection of bath salts just makes me want to take a bath right now. Your Wal-Mart sign made me laugh out loud. :o)
Oh I just love your destressing ideas!
Pleas stop by and see the under $20 makeover I gave an ugly brass light fixture.
Happy Monday!
It is morning for me while I read your post and the icee still sounds really good. These are great ways to step back and relax.
Susan, what a lovely post. Although I no longer have the Simple Plesures linky party each week, I’m humbled and honored that it inspired you to write this. Simple pleasures are all around us. Sometimes we just need a little nudge in the right direction to notice them. So glad I could help, and I’m hoping someone else will pick up the meme and run with it.
This is just wonderful to me. I was either nodding or giggling or outright laughing as I destressed my way through this.
The Walmart to Neimans thing was my favorite.
Well, besides Little Man’s feet, that is.
