Do you have a “word” for the new year? When it comes to my workroom, my word is DE-CLUTTER! I let things get away from me in 2010, but even though we’re only two days into 2011, I’ve made fantastic progress!
If you’ve read my blog for awhile, you may remember seeing the first metamorphosis. (If not, you can read about it HERE.)
It was progress — and really nice to know what I had — but I knew that eventually I wanted to find some open shelving so I could easily pull out and SEE my yet-to-be-laundered inventory.
My criteria for storage: large, sturdy, inexpensive and (pleeeeaase) no repair or painting necessary.
When a friend told me that a local florist was closing her shop and had a storage cabinet I might want, I was hopeful. I couldn’t check it out right then, but my sweet husband offered to do it for me. This is the picture he texted to me …
Check out my all-time favorite linen cleaner. It’s available in my Etsy shop.

WHAT a fabulous shelf for your linens! Lucky girl…oh, and what a wonderful hubby to go check it out for you 🙂
How I LOVE vintage linens…you’ve got quite a great collection 😉
Blessings!

Love all your photos of linen … and the mosaic too. If I have a goal for this year, it is also to reorganize and declutter. Probably many of us feel that way.
Oh Good for YOU to find such a perfect cabinet. You do have quite a collection of vintage linens….I have purged mine over the years, but am kinda hunting for some more! What I’d really like to do is make some table linens using some of my vintage fabrics, lace and ribbons. I’ll just add that to my ToDo List in 2011. Great photos as always…you are always so inspiring!
What a lucky find. Just goes to show, that sometimes it pays to move quickly.
Well done! Great find for your linens. Happy New Year!
The shelving unit is perfect for your linens – and it sure does hold a lot!
I’ll have to have a better look at what you have, seems to be really nice things.
That shelving is fantastic!
I am so jealous of you! What a fabulous piece and you put it to a great use 😀
I would be honored to have you add it to my blog party
