I am rarely with it enough to be the first comment maker, but here I am.
And I would be the country girl too! (I like those dishes however they would be used, though.)
I haven’t noticed more decorating for Independence Day, but I haven’t been looking. I shall start now.
I know “comment maker” sounds stupid, but commenter isn’t a word and commentator sounds even sillier than comment maker. So…
The Blue Calico seems to have the ability to bridge the gap between city and country, and am I spotting the Wedgwood English Countryside? That is such a delightful classic. My “Let Freedom Ring” tablescape is up, but I won’t post it till next week. I pray that there will be more Independence Day celebrations this year than ever before…and that the sheer joy of it will rock Washington’s soul alive. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
Good eye, Cherry Kay. Yes, that’s Wedgwood English Countryside. I only have the small plates, but I use them often. I’ll look forward to seeing your tablescape next week!
I do love that blue Calico!! The blue stemmed goblets are perfect. I love the white pieces you’ve chosen. Here’s to many splendid celebrations this year! xo marlis
Those goblets are some of my favorites. Thank you, Dollar Tree!
City or country, I love them all!

Oh my, do I have to choose? I love both and just adore the calico blue dishes!!
I like them both. I don’t think I can choose. I have a friend is selling her Calico dishes. She even has the napkin rings. Love all the layers.
Beautifully done, Susan! You are wonderfully creative! xo Nellie
GORGEOUS settings!!! I’m a little city and a little country … I’d mix and match… Happy Thursday my friend. Hugs and blessings, C. (HHL)
I can be either..depends on mood! Gorgeous dishes.

I don’t know. I would normally say country girl, but that city girl look is mighty good looking.
XO,
Sheila
Like Donnie and Marie, I’m a little bit country AND a little bit rock ‘n roll, so I could go either way. That’s the beauty of dishes with a classic look: no boundaries! I love that farm style coffee pot!
Pretty post.Gorgeous dishes in gorgeous setting..:):)
