His & Her Tablescapes … Garden Theme

Wouldn’t it be fun to do these two theme tables?

Mr. McGregor’s Garden
Focus on vegetables (and perhaps fruits)

Mrs. McGregor’s Garden
Focus on flowers … of course!

How do YOU envision the McGregors’ tables?

Surely I’m not the only one who’s ever thought about it … am I?

  1. Now you have whetted my curiosity! Can’t wait to see what you do with this! xo Nellie

  2. I love this post. That would be a really fun thing to do -to see different people’s “take” on the idea of what those settings might look like- xo Diana

  3. Well, I’m pretty sure that Mrs. MacGregor would have gone to see Mama Rabbit to purchase some Rabbit Tabbaca for Farmer MacGregor after the meal. I look forward to the final design. Thanks for inviting us for an intriguing peak. Cherry Kay

    • Well, I’m not sure there will be a final design, but it’s a fun thought! If I had some Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage plates, I’d definitely do a Mr. McGregor table! Don’t remember… Do you have any of those? If so, you should go for it!

  4. I have been here for quite a while this morning, reading and even rereading posts that I have missed. I didn’t comment on them all, but I have to tell you how much I have enjoyed your heart this week. I loved the Sunday post so much. Funny that I had just called myself a “true Israelite” in a comment to you (olive oil post) and then I read that Sunday post and saw that you addressed exactly what I was trying to say.

I have already done the survey, but I want to say again that the way you challenge me to THINK is my favorite thing about this blog.

About the gardens? I am now thinking all about a little vegetable garden table, complete with fence.

Sorry to be AWOL. I can’t wait to get my new computer up and running. I hope it recharges my engines.

copying this first so I don’t lose it when I try to comment…

  5. Such a wonderful tablescape to ponder. I do know their would be a small rabbit somewhere in the mix. 🙂

    Blessings to you and yours!
