What’s your favorite season?

Life Lesson #8: Look for the beauty in every season of life…

As I pull out linens for each of the year’s seasons, I’m reminded that they all serve a different purpose. Perhaps that’s why I have so many! It’s a good reminder that each season of my life has a purpose, too. It’s easier to know what it is in some seasons, but that’s where faith comes in…

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

  1. I changed my blog roll to your new site when you changed it, but it has not updated since the one about picking a color when you don’t have a favorite. So, today I actually checked my email for wordsonwheels, and the updates ARE coming through there. Don’t know why it is not updating on the blog roll.

    Anyway, now I will have to get a second cup of coffee and play catch up with you.

    I loved the premise of this one as much as the eye candy on the tables. You are so right that every season has something wonderful about it. The season that I’m in right now is kind of an odd fall, not unlike the one we’re having in Georgia this year. It WANTS to be fall, but it keeps erupting with steam heat.

  2. Isn’t it cool the way that God shows us things inthe physical before He teaches us the correlating things in the spiritual. Well done illustration of the seasons of our lives. Cherry Kay

  3. Howdy! 🙂 Thank you SO much for your sweet comment on my magazine cover post! It was such a wonderful and fun day! I never in a million years thought it would be something I would be doing…what a joy!
    Your tablescapes are lovely, and I too love pulling all my seasonal linens out! 🙂
