A SEE-THROUGH Notecard Party

It’s time for the monthly Notecard Party at A Haven for Vee which means it’s time to share four pics previously used here at My Place to Yours that could be made into notecards.  You know me.  I like themes, so here’s my theme for April

See-through

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12 King James Version

Another translation … easier to understand:

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. 1 Corinthians 13:12 New Living Translation

To everyone touched by the senseless tragedy at the Boston Marathon, I’m sending prayers … from My Place to Yours. May you experience comfort, healing, and hope in the midst of confusion.

  1. Beautiful post, Susan. Love these photos, especially the dogwood branches, and the quotes. xo

  2. This is a beautiful post, especially with the Bible verse. Love the rugs in the window!

  3. Pretty shots. Call me crazy, but I love those colorful placemats in the window!

  4. Lovely note cards.

  5. I really enjoyed seeing how you expressed “see through” so well in all your photos. Your pictures are amazing!

  6. I really enjoyed your collection of ‘see through’ Note Cards Susan.
I love the second card looking through the pretty white dogwood – it’s stunning!
    Shane ♥

  7. These may be my favorite set of all that I’ve seen today at Vee’s. The photos are beautiful; I love window pictures anyway, and I really enjoyed the link back to your prison visit.

  8. One of my favorite things is to look through or beyond, though I’d never have been able to articulate that nor to have come up with a theme for it. Beautifully done! And you make me want to follow all your links because I’m just curious that way. Perhaps I will find time to return and do just that!

  9. Wonderful selections — great color and texture in each one. I love the See-Through theme. I keep going back to look at the Mackinac Island shot.

  10. I like your theme….captured beautifully!

  11. Great theme and very creative! Beautiful photography…

  12. Beautiful photos! especially loving the last one. Blessings, C. (HHL)

  13. Oh, Honey, these are AWESOME cards. I’d sure buy a box….or two.

  14. Beautiful “see through” photos that would make lovely cards. Sometimes it’s hard to “see through” the pain and suffering in this world, isn’t it? I’m so glad that God is present to comfort and help.

  15. Beautiful photos. Love that gorgeous blue sky!

  16. I love the theme! And I LOVE the photos!!!!!!!!! The one with the napkins in the window…very artsy!

  17. What a great idea for your theme. I love the blossoms (dogwood?). The one looking out through the garden doors to the deck planters is beautiful too. Pamela

    • Hi, Pamela. Yes, the blossoms are dogwood — from the tree in our front yard. I hope to share the pics from THIS year soon. The deck planters through the French doors were a total surprise around a little corner at the Grand Hotel. I thought I was coming to the end of the hallway — and then the doors led me on. I’m glad you liked it, too. Thanks for stopping by today!

  18. These are bright, cheery and just delightful!

  19. I love this theme….how neat to see through as if you are walking forward to another space! Perfect for note cards! And the dogwood blooms are lovely!

  20. Perfect pictures, Susan. I echo your sentiments regarding the events in Boston on Monday. Such a tragic time.

    xo Nellie

  21. Beautiful post for Vee’s party! I love the theme & the scripture! I’m your newest follower.

    Smiles,
    Carol
