Festival of Tables Preview: SWAN SONG

Welcome to the weekend … and Happy Pink Saturday!

I’ll be spending my Saturday setting up for and attending our church’s annual Festival of Tables.  Pink Saturday seems like the perfect time to give you a preview of my table.

Swan Song …

Tip:  To get an extra punch of color, I “scrunched” hot pink tissue paper in the stem below the votive candle.

I’ll be taking lots of pics at the Festival to share with you, so be sure to stop by later this week.  In the meantime, check out past tablescape events by clicking the Tablescapes tab at the top of this page.

This vintage Noritake Toki Kaisha service for 12 is available — and virtually unused! Email me if you’re at all interested. Since I’m downsizing this year, I’m willing to let it go … for a swan song.

STILL AVAILABLE!
(I only charge actual shipping, but if you live in postal service Zone 1, I can use regional shipping and keep the cost down even more!)

Set includes:
12 dinner plates
12 salad/dessert plates
12 bread/butter plates
12 rimmed soup bowls
12 rimmed fruit/dessert (sauce) bowls
12 cups and saucers
Sugar bowl w/ lid
Creamer
Gravy w/ attached underplate
Covered vegetable
Large platter

Pattern unknown; looks like Noritake N2803 but with the added laurel band.
Noritake “Rosemont” has the laurel band, but it has a gray rim.

  6. Your table setting is gorgeous! I love the pink, and I think adding that tissue really adds that special touch. I have been to Christmas gatherings like this, but I’ve never heard of a summer one. Can’t wait to see pictures from the event!

  7. Aha! I wondered how those flutes got that pretty pink hue! Great idea to use the tissue paper! That really adds a lot to the table! Your floral arrangement in the swan dish is beautiful! Way to use that Dusty Miller!!!!! I have a ton of it outside, and you better believe it’ll find its way into my arrangements somehow! I love all the pink roses in both the arrangement and the dishes!!!!!!
