A GLORIOUS Tablescape Event

It’s obvious from reader comments the past two weeks — and from the top searches here at My Place to Yours — that tablescape events are a hit!  (If you missed this year’s Festival of Tables pics, check out the links on my sidebar.)

Earlier this week a blog reader sent me a picture of the table she did recently for an event hosted by her local woman’s club.  I love her mix of colors and textures … and I’m always a pushover for blue and white transferware. Some of you are, too.  (And any event with pink tortilla chips and raffle tickets is a good one in my book!)

Summertime

Not only did Renette give me permission to share her tablescape with you, but she agreed to send pics of all the tables.  You don’t mind seeing pics from another tablescape event this week … do you?  (I didn’t think so.)

There are a lot of tables, so I’ll try to keep the commentary to a minimum.

The blue and white plates in this tablescape are the same pattern used in the one above.  Perfect example of how versatile china can be!

Me thinks this tablescaper is a Georgia Bulldogs fan!

I Believe in Angels

These eye-catching plates and centerpiece bowl were made by the glass artist-tablescaper.  What talent!

More pink love for women experiencing … and surviving … cancer!

Ooooh, I’d love to borrow this china when my lilacs are blooming!

Cancer is a Worldwide Problem
With a husband retired from the Air Force, this table hostess pulled out treasures from her world travels to create her theme table.

This table brings to mind bounty.
Does it whet your appetite for Fall decorating?  It does mine!

A big thank you to the ladies of the Gainesville Phoenix Woman’s Club for your caring hearts … and to Renette for sharing all of the creativity with us!  May the lives of many women be touched through your selfless efforts.

And may many of you who enjoy “playing in the dishes” be willing to do what these women did.

Identify a need … and go meet it!
