Tablescape Inspiration Board: Shabby Chic

Last week about this time I took you on a quick field trip to Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Northern Indiana … and showed you THESE dishes.  Little did I know I’d missed a few.

For you rooster lovers …  Pretty classy, huh?

And for you lovers of all things feminine …

My heart did a little dance when I spied these dishes with their vibrant colors and patchwork of patterns.  Did yours? Wouldn’t they be perfect for a soft, Shabby Chic table?  My creative juices were flowing … but all the pretty dishes collided with my desire to de-clutter … and I’m happy to say that all I brought home were the “photographic” memories that I’m sharing with you.

So because I’d love to do a tablescape with these pretties (but don’t have them), I’ll opt for an inspiration board instead.  Just pretend I’m opening this pretty blue door and inviting you in.  You’re always welcome … at My Place to Yours!

I’ll be joining Let’s Dish! at Cuisine Kathleen and
Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

And me with a love for auctions.

I’m going to herald it abroad anyway!

  4. Cannot wait — glad it isn’t my *no buy* week of the month 🙂

Thanks for showing those stately roos — beautiful dishes 🙂

    Blessings!

  5. Beautiful table! Lovely summer colours. Thanks for sharing.
Hope to see you on my blog:)

  6. You are stronger than I, Susan! Decluttering is still a challenge here.:) Lovely dishes!

  7. I love that you are trying to declutter….good luck! I love the patchwork dishes. I would have a problem seeing them and not buying. You were good…I take my hat off to you! I am smiling….Blessings My Friend,

  8. Fun dishes! I’m trying to restrain from buying more dishes, but it isn’t always easy. Love the idea of an inspiration board.

  9. I love those rooster dishes! I used to not have many dishes, and well I started blogging. All hope went out the window and I’ve turned into one of those women looking for places to store them. My rule is no dishes outside of the kitchen or dining room, so at least I have some restraint! I might be tempted with those rooster dishes though.

  10. Those rooster dishes are pretty cute, but the shabby cottage girl in me, adores the feminine designs of the others!

  11. My eye went right to the little bird cups! They would have gone home with me and caused all sorts of trouble! Thank you for sharing these wonderful eye candy photos!

  12. Oh boy…an auctions sounds very interesting…looking forward to hearing about the details.

  13. So glad, (and sad too)that I’m far away otherwise those beautiful dishes would ALL COME HOME WITH ME, lol..!!!
