The Notecard Party

If this is your first time to stop by, WELCOME to My Place to Yours!  If, however, you’ve been here a time or two before, I’m so glad you’re here again today. I hope you all feel right at home .. and that you’ll come back often.

Today, for the first time, I’m joining The Notecard Party at A Haven for Vee.  This little get-together is still pretty new in Blogland.  It takes place on the third Wednesday of each month, and anyone wishing to party is asked to share four pictures they’ve already used on their blog that they think would make a good set of notecards.  Well, since I love notecards, I decided it was time I got my act together so I can party, too!  How about you?  Do you like notecards?

If you know me at all, you probably guessed that I couldn’t take any ol’ “four pictures” to the party.  Of course not.  I had to think about it for awhile.  And then I had to decide how to choose the pictures.  Should I pick a theme like The Four Seasons … or a color … or a shape?  Maybe I should choose pictures that would let me add a witty caption … or maybe I should go with pretty.  Hmmm…

Eventually, I decided (at least this first time) to scrap the theme idea and choose between witty and pretty.  Are you ready to see my choices?

I chose three that are pretty

Thanks for partying with me!  Be sure to stop by A Haven for Vee to see the other notecard candidates.  Then come on back Wednesday night to see how I met a recent tablescape challenge …

  1. I have to say my personal favorite would be the last one, of course. However, I like them all. I wanted to join this party because I really enjoyed it when I did it before. Unfortunately, I’m too busy to party this week.

  2. I love the first one…perfect with the sun shining in! All of them would make beautiful notecards!

  3. I think my favorite is the third one…so pretty!

  4. Lovely post and selections for the Note Card Party.

  5. I love your selections. I went back and read the one about pets and I have to say that it just breaks my heart all the way around. God bless you- you are a special gal! xo Diana

  6. You got my curiosity up. I’m glad that I read the post for the last photo. It has caused me to ponder and that’s always good. I am certainly not angry even if…

    Thanks so much for participating!

  7. Now, I would buy this set of note cards in a New York Minute..:)
    Beautiful….

  8. Hi Susan ~ love your notecard selections, especially the one from Clark Gardens (I took the side trip and it was my cup of tea.) I read your post on ONE ~ our passion is powerful. Blessings

  9. Love! the purple flower. Very very nice.

  10. Beautiful photos! I did read your post on the last photo. It was a very powerful and heart-wrenching post. Love your blog, I’ll be back to read more. Have a great day!

  11. Hi Susan,

These photos would definitely make pretty note cards. I love the dainty wood violets the best. I did read your original post for the last photo, and I agree that you’re right. We have a beloved pet that lives in the house, and we also have a 22-year old son. I know we’re good parents to him, but I also realize there are many other children who need our help. This was a very timely and relevant post!

Thanks for your visit and your kind comments. I hope you have a great day!

    Denise

  12. Let me be the first to place an order for a set of “One” notecards. I think that they’d make a wonderful fundraiser. Cherry Kay
