Suh-weet!

When you hear “SF” in Fort Bragg, NC, home of the 82nd Airborne Division (which includes my Favorite Fatigue Wearer), it usually means “Special Forces.”  But I’ve discovered another SF in the area …

Little Man and his family introduced me to it … and it’s yummy!  The many flavors of frozen yogurt are delicious … but the toppings are my favorite part.

On my first visit (yes, I’ve had more than one!), I was intrigued by the name “SweetFrog.”  On my second visit, I looked around more beyond the tasty treats … and was pleasantly surprised to see what the Frog in SweetFrog stands for. If you look closely, you can see it on the green t-shirt … or just keep reading.
Look at this cute display idea — pails attached to the wall!

By then I was really intrigued … and upon my return home I looked up the company’s story.  It’s a good one, so I’ll share it with you.

From the SweetFrog website:

Our founder, Derek Cha, started SweetFrog in 2009 with his wife, Annah Kim. Derek’s goal was to create a business, in the midst of a unfriendly economy, that could thrive and bring hope and happiness to a very down market. As this would be Derek’s first year in Richmond, he was prepared for the challenge. With faith, prayer, and the support of family and
friends, SweetFrog began.

SweetFrog was founded on the principles of Christianity and our belief in bringing happiness and a positive attitude into the lives of our consumers. At SweetFrog, F.R.O.G stands for Fully Rely On God – and we hope to be an example of that in every community!

Two years later, SweetFrog has grown by leaps and bounds (or hops)! By the spring of 2012, SweetFrog will have over 100 SweetFrog stores operating in over 15 states, and 1 international location in South Korea. Derek and Annah couldn’t be more proud of the business and its continued growth.

Congratulations (and thank you) to Derek and Annah for “hopping” out on faith and bringing smiles to soldiers and their families in Fort Bragg, NC — and to many other communities — with their sweet treats.  Stand firm as you Fully Rely On God.  May the rest of us follow your example!
