Picnik: Taking on Vintage Linens & Dishes

To everyone who has already placed a bid (or two — or seven!) at my Vintage Linen & Dish Auction …a BIG thank you!

For this week’s Metamorphosis Monday, I thought I’d give you a quick look at the evolution of my Auction blog button.

When I was looking for an Auction button picture, I wanted one that showed vintage linens and dishes — and little else. This is the one I chose.

It was one I took for a tablescape I did last Fall, in honor of my Mother’s birthday.
You can see the entire tablescape post HERE.

I then used Picnik photo editing software to “posterize” the original photograph and add text. Playing with fonts is such a fun way to waste spend time!

So what do you think?
Would you have even recognized these as the same plates?

[AUCTION HAS ENDED] There’s still plenty of time to place bids (until 9PM EDT on Monday, July 25), so click HERE to check out the offerings. (Keep clicking to older posts to see all 21 auction items!) Remember, 25% of the profit goes to Hope Unlimited for Children, so bid often! It’s an easy way to make a difference in a child’s life …
