My Place to Yours: Interview at Carbona’s StainTalk Blog

If you’ve read this blog for very long, you may remember reading THIS post I did about Carbona Stain Devils.

Well, I guess the post (plus a few other references I’ve made to these amazing products) got someone’s attention … because today My Place to Yours is featured on Carbona’s StainTalk blog. If you’d like to read the interview, click HERE.  One of the questions I was asked had to do with advice for someone who “shares my passion” for tablescaping.  Here’s an excerpt from my answer:

For someone just learning to tablescape, here’s a piece of advice: start with a topical theme and work from there; it helps you stay focused. Here are some examples:

Topical themes:  Beach; Cowboy; Birdhouses; Sunflowers; Baseball; Movies
Color combination themes:  Black and white; Red, white and blue; Blue and white; Blue and yellow; Fall colors
Style themes: Shabby Chic; Country; Retro; Elegant, Whimsical, Italian, Asian

I’ve decided to expand on that advice a bit over the next several days by doing additional posts here on my blog — one for each of the three theme categories (and there may be more once I really stop to think about it; in fact, if another type of theme comes to YOUR mind, let me know).  I hope you’ll stay tuned!

StainTalk: thanks for the feature! My Place to Yours readers: be sure to stop by StainTalk to read the interview … then leave a comment!

I’m linking these theme ideas to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.
